Abatement by Encasement: Safeguarding People while Saving MoneyTM

Board of Jewish Education Bldg. – NY

Case History

Property:

Board of Jewish Education Building

Location:

Manhattan, New York City, NY

Challenge:

The exterior surfaces of this historic building had aging, badly damaged Lead-Based Paint. The owner of the building wanted to restore the appearance of this beautiful building, in an approved and affordable manner.

Solution:

The facade of this building was first wiped to remove dirt and grime, and only the really loose paint was removed. Next, SE-110 Penetrating-Stabilizer (primer) was applied over all the exterior surfaces, sealing and stabilizing the aging paint in a Lead-SAFE manner.  This was followed by application of SE-120 Protective-Skin Topcoat that was custom tinted to meet the client’s needs.
