Brooklyn Navy Yard
The building had not been occupied for many years and the interior was in very poor condition. The steel was rusting and had been previously painted with lead-based paint. All of the interior walls, ceilings and support columns were also covered with flaking and delaminating lead-based paint.
A system that would address the rust and corrosion, encase the remaining lead-based paint, provide a cost effective long-term solution was employed. The SE-110CI was used to prime all of the rusted steel and the SE-110 was used to stabilize all of the other surfaces. The SE-120 was then used to provide a seamless and flexible finish to the entire interior of the building.
